Mr. Alvin R. Burns, age 69 of Scottsboro, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shirley Byrum and Bro. Denny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Hytop Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 until 8 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home.

Mr. Burns is survived by wife Judy Burns, daughter, Penny Hosch, sons; Richie and Jon Burns, grandchildren; Dustin Strange, Whitney Strange, Dillon Strange, Blake Burns, Caleb Burns and Dakota Burns, great grandchild, McKenna Ferrell, sisters; Linda Johnson, Enda Thomas, Kay Phillips and Edna Smith, brothers; Terry Arnold, Lonnie Arnold and Doyle Arnold. He is preceded in death by parents, 4 sisters and one brother.
