He came from modest beginnings in the Paint Rock Valley and rose to excel in the coaching profession he loved. Every young man who came under his tutelage was blessed. His devotion to doing the right thing was what set him apart.

Dear Edith, We are sorry not to have seen you and family or not calling at the funeral home. Mama has been down pretty much since Thanksgiving. We even missed church. But we also want you to know how much we treasure our association with your family and how much we will all miss Coach. He was an extraordinary man; can barely remember when I didn't know you both. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God comfort you in the days ahead. Sally and Marilyn Morris
