Dorothy Williams Kerley Brewer, 81, of Pleasant Groves, died
peacefully at her home Sunday, October 2, 2011 among family and
friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 5,
at 1:00pm at Pleasant Groves Holiness Church with Rev. Auther
McAllister and Rev. James Carl Black officiating. The body
will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until 1:00pm.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Groves Cemetery. The family
will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 9 pm at Scottsboro
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brewer is survived by daughters; Wanda (John) Fowler of
Pleasant Groves and Karen (Rickey) Hyatt of Hazel Green, AL, 4
stepdaughters and Sharon McAllister, 3 stepsons, grandchildren;
Christy Castle, Cheryl Fowler, Matthew Hyatt and Sara
Hereford, 15 step-grandchildren, great grandchildren; Travis and
Mollie Castle, Sawyer and Sutton Hyatt and Graysen and Crosby
Hereford, many step great grandchildren, sisters and brothers;
Frances West, Jean Miller, Janet , Howard , Sam and Jackie Cain all
of Pleasant Groves and several nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by parents , Fletch and Viola Cain, husbands;
Edward Williams, Rev. Thomas Kerley and Charles Brewer,
granddaughter Amy Fowler, sisters; Ruby Jones, Venie Sanders
and Trenda McAllister, brothers; Clarence, J.W., James and Wade
Cain.
