Mr. John "Johnny" Lynch SR, 88 of Scottsboro, died Monday,
January 16, 2012 at Highlands Medical Center. Funeral
services will be 1:00pm Wednesday at Scottsboro Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will
follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive
friends Tuesday from 6 until 9pm. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church of
Scottsboro.
Mr. Lynch is survived by wife, Edna Ruth Guinn Lynch of
Scottsboro, children; Nancy (Doug) Hodges, Lynda (Durwood) Hodges,
John Lynch Jr, and Tim Lynch all of Scottsboro and Patricia (Dave)
Powell of Gadsden, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by
parents, George Sr and Jessie Lynch, infant daughter, Peggy Ruth
Lynch, sisters; Nellie Dawson, Minnie Gibson and Laura Ruth
Garrett, brothers; George Lynch Jr and Gerald Miller.
