Joyce Nixon Shelton, 62 of Scottsboro , died
Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at her home. Funeral
services will be 11:00am Thursday at The First Baptist Church with
Rev. Kevin Wilborn officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar
Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends
Wednesday from 6 until 9pm at The First Baptist Church. In
lieu of flowers, memorial s may be made to St Jude Children's
Hospital or The First Baptist Church of Scottsboro.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Brad Shelton, daughters; Tara
Pope and Kerri Griggs, sons; Brandon Pope and B. J. Shelton,
grandchildren; Karli Wallingsford, Blake Kowdis, Keltsey Kowdis ,
Cheltsey Kowdis, Brandon Griggs and Megan Griggs, great
grandchild, Tyson Kowdis, sister, Vickie Tucker, brothers; Donald
Nixon, Jackie Nixon and David Nixon. She was preceded
in death by parents, J D and Odell Nixon.
