Mrs. Ollie L. Twisdale, 78, of Athens, AL passed away at Athens Rehab and Senior Care Thursday, September 1, 2011.

She is survived by her daughters, Nyla Blakley, Joan (Mark) Goodman, and Jackie Smith; sons, Allen (Teresa) Twisdale, and Max Twisdale; brothers, W. I. and Rayford Lackey; sister Burma (Eddie) Quinn; granddaughters, Jennifer Nowell, Katie Twisdale, and Candace Powers; grandsons Mason Goodman, and Tyler Smith; granddaughter, Lauren Goodman; along with three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Twisdale is preceded in death by her parents, William Isaac and Alma Lackey and her sister Willie Lackey Ragsdale.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Gooch officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until service time at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
