Taylor Katlin McLain, age 17 of Skyline, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at Huntsville Hospital.  Funeral services for Taylor will be 2:00pm Thursday at Skyline Holiness Church with Bro. Vernon Stephens Jr, Bro. Michael Clark and Bro. James "Totchie" McLain officiating.  .  Burial will follow in Morris  Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00untill 9:00pm at the church.

Taylor is survived by mother and step-dad, Marty and Kevin Pendergrass of Scottsboro, father , Michael McLain of Grant, sister, Lindsay McLain of Swearengin, nephew, Scott York of Swearengin, grandparents, James and Betty Sue McLain of Higdon, special Godparents, Stevie and Sheila Gifford of Skyline, special brother and sister, Blake and Michelle Gifford of Skyline, special cousins; Blakely and Lucas Gifford of Skyline, boyfriend, Jared Ariel of Winchester, TN and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by grandparents, Orvil and Kathleen Morris  and Betty McLain.

    I am so sorry for the loss of Taylor. I work at Huntland School and Jared is a very close friend. Taylor has a great boyfriend. Jared is such a loving and caring young man. Jared brought Taylor to school one day and I got to meet her. A very nice young lady that is going to be missed greatly.
