Virgie Dean, age 61 of Scottsboro, died at her residence
Tuesday, December 13, 2011.Funeral services Will be 2:00pm Friday
at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Avans and Rev. Mark
Schuelke officiating. Burial will follow in Hytop
Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from
5:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dean is survived by husband, Mike Dean of Scottsboro, sons;
Jay (Teresa) Walden and Michael (Carrie) Walden both of
Scottsboro, step-daughters; Stephanie (Robin) Ray of Breman, GA
and Michelle (Steve) Hollis of Tallapoosa, GA, grandchildren;
Shaun Walden, Hannah Walden, Ray Walden, Gabbie Walden, Anawake
Ray, Jeremy Ray, Jonathan Hollis, Trevor Barnby, and Noah Hollis,
brothers; Leslie (Vivian) Thackerson, Levon (Lisa) Thackerson and
Alfred (Jean) Thackerson, sister; Mary (Bill) Cagle and Doretha
(Raymond) Bailey and several nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by parents, Nathan Thackerson and Edith
Thackerson West. Brothers; Wendell Thackerson and Gene
Thackerson, sister, Novella Elliot and two infant
siblings.
