Buddy Simmons, age 59 of Scottsboro, died Sunday, November 13,
2011 at Highlands Medical Center. A memorial service will be
3:00pm Thursday at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roy Hall
officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 9:00pm at
Scottsboro Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to The Jackson County Christmas Charities in care of
Jackson County Department of Human Resources, 205 Liberty Lane,
Scottsboro, Alabama 35769.
Buddy is survived by wife, Janie Simmons , son. Shawn
Simmons both of Scottsboro, sisters; Patricia Simmons of Scottsboro
and Terri Winkler of Lafayette, Georgia, brother, Chris
Wetherington of Knoxville, Tennessee, special mother figure,
Mildred Ann Word of Scottsboro, Chase McClure of Scottsboro
and several nieces and nephews , aunt Mary Burns Shook
Simmons of Chattanoog, TN, uncle, George Hageman of MN, Buddy's
Special Boys and a host of friends. He was preceded in death
by parents; Jack Simmons and Patty Patrick, grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. R. C. Patrick and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Simmons.
