Willie Lavania Harvey Thrower of Trenton, Alabama died
Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at her residence following a brief
illness. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday at Scottsboro Funeral Home
Chapel with Bro. Rodney Eakins officiating. Burial will
follow in Latham Cemetery. The family will receive
friends Thursday from 5 until 9pm at the funeal home.
Mrs. Thrower is surv ived by her husband, Harvey Robert
Thrower of Trenton, son, Robert Earl (Sue) Thrower of Paint Rock,
daughters; Deborah Davis and Lisa (Joe) Welsh both of Trenton,
granddaughters; Amy (Rodger) Lack of Woodville and Robin Thrower of
Huntsville, grandsons; Jonathon Davis and Justin Welsh of
Madison, great grandsons; Jacob Lack and Caleb Lack of
Woodville, brother, Herman (Martha) Harvey of Soddy Daisy, TN,
sisters; Betty (Sid) Posey of Cleveland, TN and Roberta (Ron) Ellis
of Hixson, TN, aunt, Ruth Pickett of Signal Mountain, TN , several
nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was a member of
Paint Rock Holiness Church. Mrs. Thrower was known by family
and friends as a caregiver with a selfless attitude. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of
North Alabama.
