Ms. Whitaker, age 76, of Scottsboro passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022. She was a member of Gurley First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her brother, Larry Edward Hereford (Susan); two sisters, Lucy Hereford Brannon (Joe) and Ann Hereford LeCroy (Charles); father of her son, Roy Whitaker; special sister-n-law, Lyla McMullen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Roy Baird Whitaker and parents, Douglas and Kathryn Hereford. There will be a private family funeral service.
